2023년에 시작한 FOUND-OBJECT STAMP ART (파운드 오브젝트 스탬프 아트)
자연의 재료와 버려진 것들을 이용한 스탬프 아트 워크숍입니다.
제주의 환경오염 문제를 가까이에서 인지하고 행동 변화를 유도하며,
바닷가에서 주운 재료들로 스탬프 작품을 만들어 기억하고
환경 보호를 실천하는 것을 목적으로 합니다.
멀리서 보면 제주의 바다는 여전히 아름답지만,
가까이 들여다보면 발밑에는 쓰레기가 깔려 있습니다.
손 닿는 곳마다, 모래알처럼 작고, 또 모래알처럼 셀 수 없이 많은 쓰레기들.
과연 우리는 이 모든 것을 치울 수 있을까요?
우리는 알고 있습니다.
누구 한 사람의 거창한 행동보다,
수많은 사람들의 작은 실천이 세상을 바꾼다는 것을요.
우리가 바라는 변화
바다를 찾는 이들이 한 손에 청소봉투와 장갑을 자연스럽게 들고 다니는 모습
자연을 즐기기 전, 단 몇 분이라도주변의 쓰레기를 치우는 습관
쓰레기를 줍는 것이 부끄럽거나 위선적이지 않다는 인식
‘쓰레기가 둥둥 떠다니는 바다’가 아닌,
깨끗한 자연 그대로의 바다가 몸에 닿는 기쁨
지구의 얼굴 한 귀퉁이를 내 손으로 닦아내는 감각

STAMP ART FOUND-OBJECT
Founded by Indigoterie in 2023, FOUND-OBJECT STAMP ART is
a workshop that uses natural materials and discarded objects to create stamp art.
It aims to bring awareness to the environmental pollution in Jeju and to inspire action.
Participants collect materials found along the shore and transform them into stamp artworks,
preserving memories while practicing environmental protection.
From a distance, Jeju’s sea still looks beautiful.
But if you look closely, you’ll see the ground is covered with trash.
Everywhere you reach, there is trash as small and as countless as grains of sand. Can we really clean it all up?
We know the answer:
it is not grand gestures by a single person, but small actions by many that change the world.
The change we hope to see:
People naturally carrying trash bags and gloves when they visit the sea
The habit of picking up trash around them for just a few minutes before enjoying nature
The understanding that picking up trash is neither shameful nor hypocritical
The joy of feeling the clean sea on your skin, not a sea littered with trash
The sensation of cleaning a corner of the Earth with your own hands
FOUND OBJECT STAMP ART shares this spirit and philosophy with every participant.
